CDS Analytical LLC is a leading provider of innovative sample preparation products. In first quarter of 2019, CDS Analytical LLC acquired the rights to the well-known Empore™ SPE products from 3M Purification Inc. and is now the new manufacturer of the Empore™ products. The Empore™ product line includes various filter discs as well as SPE cartridges and well plates equipped with them and vacuum manifolds.

Empore™ Solid Phase Extraction (SPE) Disks provide an efficient alternative to liquid/liquid extraction for sample preparation. A proprietary process is used to entrap adsorbent particles into a matrix of inert PTFE to create a mechanically stable and very thin sorbent disk. Further advantages of the Empore™ SPE products are:

Smallest bed volume with highest sorbent density
Highest homogeneity
Elimination of void space and channeling effects
Uniform particle distribution - very low fines
Large surface area for sorbent/sample contact
Ultra-fast flow-rate and high throughput possible
Comparable small elution volumnes

The Empore™ SPE products are available as discs, cartridges or well plates. These are available with different sorbent modifications, covering a very broad analyte spectrum.

2.Mixed-Phase: MPC, UR, SDB-RPS^[3]

Empore™ SPE products are used in many different areas. For example, in environmental, food or pharmaceutical analysis, as well as in university research.
