Resolve HPLC columns, manufactured by Waters are silica-based phases with various modifications. The non-endcapped Resolve Packing is significantly different compared to other Waters packing materials. The change in chromatographic behavior is most commonly noticed with polar compounds, which are typically more retained. For basic compounds, ion-pairing reagents are added to the mobile phase to reduce excessive tailing.
