Nouryon™, formerly known as AkzoNobel Specialty Chemicals, from Sweden is the producer of the famous and well-proven Kromasil® chromatographic silica. The Kromasil® family has been divided into four areas in recent years: Classic, Eternity, Chiral and SFC. The phases are based on high-purity, spherical silica gel with superior mechanical and chemical stability. Kromasil® HPLC columns are available in particle sizes from 1.8 to 16 µm for analytical to preparative applications. Various pore sizes and a large number of modifications cover a wide range of selectivity. Kromasil® silica is also available as bulk material.
The Kromasil® Classic product range includes a variety of high quality HPLC columns with a combination of high pore volume and surface area, together with excellent mechanical and chemical stability. The columns are an effective tool for the separation of a wide variety of substances from small molecules to peptides and proteins.
