Avicel UNIPLATES are coated with microcrystalline cellulose. This cellulose is regenerated alpha cellulose of nearly spherical shape. Compounds separated on this cellulose tend to form more compact spots than other cellulose layers.
Alumina G & GF UNIPLATES are analogous to Silica Gel G UNIPLATES, but with aluminum oxide as adsorbent. The pH of the coating is neutral to slightly basic. The “F” indicates the suitability for UV detection at 254nm.
