ChiralCD columns consist of chemically modified cyclodextrin-bonded silica particles. The α-, β- and γ-cyclodextrins have different functional groups and are immobilized on the surface by a proprietary chiral spacer. Due to the various functional groups in the stationary phase, the ChiralCD columns can be used under normal phase and reversed phase, as well as in standard and non-standard mobile phases in HPLC, UHPLC and SFC.
ChiralCD columns are the first columns available that anchor cyclodextrins through the less reactive secondary hydroxyl at the wider torus rim of the cyclodextrin. ChiralTek’s proprietary chiral linker provides an extra unique steric interaction when solutes enter the cyclodextrin cavities.
