About us
MZ-Analysentechnik GmbH is a manufacturer and supplier of HPLC and GPC columns as well as GC columns and accessories for chromatography.
The company was founded in 1986 by Dr. Mathäos Chatziathanasiou, a former chemistry student at the University of Mainz. He had just completed his dissertation on new developments in HPLC column technology under Prof. Dr. Klaus Unger. The company proved to be very determined and was soon successful with its range of HPLC and GPC columns manufactured in-house.
Currently, MZ-Analysentechnik GmbH is a very well established manufacturer and supplier of chromatography columns. We ensure compliance with our high standards and the satisfaction of our customers through quality management according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 certification and product quality control with „state of the art“ computer software. Thanks to our many years of effort and constant exchange of information with our customers, we have been able to realize a large number of new developments and technical innovations, almost all of which are represented in the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) listing.

This very broad product selection enables us to provide our customers with the best possible advice when searching for the right chromatography column for their application.
We are pleased to announce that the MZ team has been strengthened by another member since January 2013. Elena Chatziathanassiou Piller, daughter of the company founder, is actively involved in the company after completing a degree in pharmacy and a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
After three years of construction planning and implementation, MZ-Analysentechnik moved into its own company building in October 2020. More than 2000 m2 of offices, production laboratories, development laboratories, storage space and meeting rooms are available for use by employees and business partners.
