Ascentis columns from Merck Supelco are based on spherical, high-purity silica gel with a pore size of 100Å. The various phases are available in different particle sizes and dimensions from micro to preparative.
Ascentis Express columns are based on core-shell technology. This allows higher efficiencies to be achieved at lower pressures. These columns can be used in both HPLC and UHPLC. Due to the variety of different modifications and pore sizes, a wide range of columns is available.
