Polar columns from Sepax are columns for various purposes. The series includes both polymer and silica phases. Each phase has a special modification to fulfil different requirements.
Polar MC-HIC columns are made of hydrophilic polymethacrylate functionalized with ether or butyl for hydrophobic interaction chromatography (HIC).
Polar MC-IEX columns consist of hydrophilic methacrylate with ion exchange groups for ion exchange chromatography (IEX). The exchange groups are chemically bonded to the surface, creating a dense and uniform ion exchange layer.
Polar MC-IMAC columns are metal affinity chromatography columns for the purification of recombinant proteins with a histidine (His) tag and are based on hydrophilic polymethacrylate. The hydrophilic surface contains carboxylic acid groups that chelate polyvalent metal ions.
Polar-100 are silica-based columns with poly(ethylene glycol) as the functional group.
Polar imidazole columns consist of silica particles that have an imidazole functionalisation on their surface. This N-containing ring structure is a weak base and is therefore suitable for many applications, e.g. drugs, peptides, sugars and nucleotides.
Polar pyridine columns are silica-based columns in which a pyridine is chemically bound to the surface. This pyridine with its N-containing ring structure is a weak base and can be used for many different applications such as pharmaceuticals, peptides, sugars and nucleotides.
