Cosmosil 1.8C18-MS-II

####MAGENTO-BREADCRUMBS####

The COSMOSIL 1.8C18-MS-II columns from Nacalai Tesque are new fully porous columns for UHPLC applications. The small 1.8µm particles allow a high number of theoretical plates and thus good separations even with short columns. Due to the high hydrophobicity of the COSMOSIL 1.8C18-MS-II columns, even demanding separations of hydrophobic analytes can be separated. The columns are designed for MS detection and are therefore available in 2.1mm inner diameter and in lengths of 30, 50, 75, 100 and 150mm.

  • Phase selectivity can enable difficult separations that co-elute on other columns

Peak Identities

1. Myricetin  2. 7,8-Dihydroxyflavone  3. Quercetin  4. Apigenin  5. Kaempferol  6. 7-Hydroxyflavone  7. 6-Hydroxyflavone  8. Flavone  9. Chrysin  10. 6-Methoxyflavone  11. 3-Hydroxyflavone  12. 5-Hydroxyflavone

Conclusion: With the COSMOSIL 1.8C18-MS-II phase, hydrophilic substances can be optimally separated and at the same time an alternative selectivity to other C18 columns is possible. The availability of particle sizes of up to 15µm makes the scale-up process easy to manage.
