Cosmogel™ are HPLC columns from the Japanese manufacturer Nacalai Tesque of Kyoto. The phases are designed ion exchange chromatography. The base material is a hydrophilic polymer which is modified with anion−, cation− or amphoteric exchange groups. Cosmogel™ columns are sometimes designated as Cosmosil™-IEX series. These columns are useful for the separation of biopolymers including proteins and nucleic acids.
