Merck-Supelco™ (Sigma-Aldrich™) is manufacturer of some special HPLC columns for the separation of enantiomers developed by Astec in collaboration with Prof. D. Armstrong of the University of Texas at Arlington. Since 2006 Astec is part of Sigma-Aldrich™.
The Astec CHIROBIOTIC® family comprises highly enantioselective chiral HPLC stationary phases based on naturally-occurring macrocyclic glycopeptides that have been bonded through multiple covalent linkages to spherical, high purity silica particles.
