The latest column series from GL Sciences are the ProteoSil columns. The ProteoSil columns have been specially developed for the requirements of the biopharmaceutical market.
As biopharmaceuticals are much larger than conventional pharmaceuticals, the ProteoSil columns have a pore size of 100, 200 and 300Å, optimised for this analysis. Due to possible interactions of the samples with the hardware, all columns are available with bioinert PEEK lined stainless steel, PEEK or stainless steel to meet all requirements. The small solder to solder differences also make these columns ideal for LC/MS applications.
The ProteoSil columns are available with different modifications and for different chromatographic mechanisms such as reverse phase, HILIC and SEC. Additionally, 1.9µm particles are available for UHPLC applications.

ProteoSil 100-SEC | Diol | 5 µm | 100 Å | <5,000 Da | Proteins/Peptides; Monoclonal antibodies; Oligonucleotides/Nucleic acids |
ProteoSil 300-SEC | Diol | 5 µm | 300 Å | 5,000-600,000 Da | Proteins/Peptides; Monoclonal antibodies; Oligonucleotides/Nucleic acids |
You can benefit from ProteoSil columns if a slightly larger pore size than the usual 100 or 120 Å is required. These larger pores allow some analytes to be better separated.
Conclusion: ProteoSil columns are ideal for the biopharmaceutical market. With the different pore sizes of 100, 200 and 300 Å, a wide range of biomolecules can be separated.
