InertSphere colums from GL Sciences are application specific columns.
InertSphere FA-1 consists of a styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer and has sulfonate groups on its surface. It was especially designed for the analysis of formic acid in povidone.
InertSphere Sugar-1 is made of a styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer with quaternary alkylamine groups on its surface. This anion-exchange column was designed for the separation of different sugars using an electrochemical detector. This column is especially suited for mono- and disaccharides analysis.
InertSphere Sugar-2 is made of a styrene-divinyl polymer with sulfonate groups and calcium as counter ion. This column is mainly used for SEC mode. Simultaneously, the ligand exchange mode offers an interaction with hydroxyl groups on the analyte. The ligand exchange mode was developed for the analysis of sugar alcohols.
