Crownpak

Crownpak^® HPLC columns from Chiral Technologies (Daicel) use a chiral crown ether as chiral selector, which is coated or immobilised onto a spherical 5 µm silica support. They can be used for the enantiomeric separation of amino acids and other small molecules containing a primary amino group near the chiral centre. The Crownpak^® CR(+) column gives the reversed elution order compared to the CR(−) column.
