L-Column is the name for a series of HPLC columns manufactured by CERI (Chemicals Evaluation and Research Institute, Japan). High-purity, spherical silica gel is used as base material, which is mainly modified with C18 or C8 groups.
L-column3 are the newest columns from CERI based on the so-called PCS silica (Perfect Chemical Stable Silica).
The L-column2 series are based on the L-column series with the difference of an improved end-capping technology. The columns are ideally suited for the analysis of acidic, basic and chelating compounds.
The columns of the L-column series were introduced in 1990 as columns whose secondary interaction with residual silanol groups was eliminated by a new end-capping method.
