From now until 20.12.24 you will receive a -40% introductory discount on the new HALO Elevate C18 columns! Please note that guard columns are excluded from this promotion.
HALO Elevate C18 is an HPLC column from Advanced Materials Technology (AMT) with an organo-silane modified surface. This hybrid material is therefore stable at a pH value between 2 and 12. Due to this high pH stability, bases can be analysed uncharged, resulting in good peak symmetries. The modified surface is based on AMT's well-known fused-core technology, so that high speed is achieved in combination with high pH stability.

Due to the organo-silane modified surface, these columns are very stable at high pH values. Amitriptyline was analysed at a pH value of 10. It was found that the retention only shifted by 1% after 500 injections (or 20,000 column volumes).

When analysing omeprazole (pka 9.3), related compounds and impurities, the run time can be reduced by more than 84% compared to the original USP method. All 9 component are baseline separated.
1. Related Compound F & G 2. Related Compound B 3. Related Compound E 4. Related Compound A 5. Impurity B 6. Omeprazole 7. Impurity H 8. N'-Methyl Omeprazole 9. Impurity C
Tricyclic antidepressants (TCAs) are basic drugs that can be separated with the HALO Elevate C18 in less than 3 min with excellent peak symmetries.
1. Nortriptyline 2. Doxepin 3. Imipramine 4. Amitriptyline 5. Trimipramine
Conclusion: With the hybrid-based HALO Elevate C18, basic analytes can be analysed in the uncharged state. This avoids secondary interactions, resulting in high peak symmetries. This column is ideal for laboratories with many basic applications.
